Whirlpool Duet Diagnostic Test Mode

NOTE: The control must be in the OFF state before pressing the touch-pad sequence to start the test.
1. Close the door.
2. Press the Control On button.
3. Select the DRAIN/SPIN cycle.
4. Select NO SPIN by pressing the SPIN SELECT button, as needed.
5. Push Prewash Option button four times within five seconds.  C:00 will show in the display.
NOTE:  If Model does not have PREWASH Mode as an option, press RINSE/HOLD.
If the Starting procedure fails, push PAUSE/CANCEL button.  Then repeat the starting sequence again.
To advance to the next step of the test procedure, push Prewash Option button two times.

Switch Test Points 6 & 5 = 0 ohms
Motor Test Points 3 & 1 = 1400 ohms

 

Whirlpool Duet Door Lock/Unlock Solenoids
Unlock Solenoid = 60 ohms
Lock Solenoid = 60 ohms

 

Whirlpool Duet Door Lock Main Switches
To check the door lock main switches, the door must be locked.  Begin by selecting a cycle and press START.  You will hear the door lock solenoid engage.  Unplug the washer from the wall outlet and check for continuity at the following points.
Main Switch 1 Test Points 5 & 4 = 0 ohms
Main Switch 2 Test Points 2 & 1 = 0 ohms

Door Open = 0 ohms
Door Closed = Infinity

Between Terminals or test points 1 & 2 = 15 ohms
